Notes From the TWITTER Webinar

Tonight we had TONS of information about using Twitter to generate more leads and more cash into your MLM business – all while implementing the principles of attraction marketing even amongst several different technical difficulties (I think it’s cause our Presenter was using his Mac computer.

In case you missed it, I jotted down some notes that I thought were some “Ah-ha” moments.
Regardless, here are some tidbits of things we learned from Curt “The Mac Marketer” Frieden and how he’s generated a sizeable income using Twitter.

1. First off, you can’t forget the attraction marketing principles in social marketing. They come entirely into play while “Tweeting” on Twitter. That is key!
If you start promoting your biz, your products, your opportunity – you’re sunk. People will almost blacklist you. You need to make friends, build relationships, be active in the community, and provide value to others. When that happens, then you have their trust, and then they come to join you!
So, there are some tips we learned.

2. Numero uno – Get Tweetdeck! This is your flightdeck for Twitter. When you have someone Direct Message you or give you a Reply in just the regular Twitter page, you run a high risk of missing those messages just because of the set-up and design of the regular Twitter page. Tweetdeck lines up and keep all of your messages – including the tweets of those you follow – until you’re ready to get rid of them. You NEED this tool and it’s a free download.
Ontop of that, you can send messages from the Tweetdeck to all of your followers and people you follow.

3. Next is www.MyTwitterToolbar.com This toolbar can be added to your Firefox as a plug-in. Good God! If you ever wondered how many tools there were for Twitter, this is the Holy Grail. You can get access to TONS of tools and widgets at just the push of a button.
Plus, there are Twitter tips – over 100 at this point. This is a very good source for social networking tips on Twitter.

4. Ever wanted to hide your affiliate links when you post it? Go checkout Tr.im You enter your affiliate links here, the program converts it to a smaller cloaked URL.

5. Want to follow specific people with like interests (other network marketers) on Twitter and maybe…um…spy on what they’re posting? How about checking out Twollow.com You can set up searches using keywords, and Twollo will automatically set you up to follow them.

6. Ping.fm This site is a VERY useful tool to help you blast your Twitter messages to all of your other social profiles like MySpace, Facebook, your blog, etc. Register for free, put in your text that you want to blast, and hit send.
So, now when you put this all together, you can use all of these sites to streamline your Twitter use, blast your Tweets out, build a relationship with your followers, and before you know it, you’re attracting more leads.
Remember to stay consistent and committed to using Twitter if you want to use it as one of your marketing resources!

You can go to any video social network and talk about almost any topic and let hundreds or even thousands of people to see it. Something that I personally like beside generating free leads for my MLM is that it builds credibility with the prospect. People like to identify with other people.

There are 4 types of videos, Educational. Is when you are showing facts about a particular subject. People love this kind of videos. Is all about giving good, solid information to the prospects.Reviews. This type of video shows comparisons, the pro and cons about the particular subject. You talk about results on case studies, books and strategies. The testimonials and tutorials videos that is the "HOW to" do something. Now that you have an idea on the types of videos there is some steps to follow if you want an effective generator of free leads for MLM.

First-Introduction
Compact your story and give them a little bit of your background so the can identify with you.

Second-Post the Problem
Establish the situation, Talk about your struggles and pains that you experienced in the industry. Give enough information to the point that the prospect can empathize with you and they can see and feel what you are talking about.

Third-Post the Solution
Talk about what you did to solve the problem and the benefits you gained by finding the solution

Fourth-Call for Action
This is when you tell them to visit your page or call you so they can benefit in the same way you did.

When You are doing your videos speak in to the camera like you are having a live face to face conversation. Do not talk like a preacher. Talk about your experiences in a way they can identify with you. A lot of people in this industry have tried many things that have not worked, even things that their mentor has told them and the only results they had was massive rejection, frustration and probably a max-out credit card.

You don't have to worry about those things with this free MLM leads generation method. Article marketing is a very simple and much cost efficient way to get your business opportunity in the World Wide Web. Search engines like Google and Yahoo love informative quality content. When you publish your articles search engines pick them up and post them for others to find. There is no doubt in my mind that the best way to make money in your MLM opportunity is through the world wide web (better known as the internet).This cyber world gives you massive exposure potential and incredible leverage abilities to be successful in your MLM opportunity, if done correctly.

What I mean by "correctly"? By developing the right mindset ,tools and skills. I am going to focus on the skill set for now, the skill oflearning the most important thing you need to learn if you want to make money with you MLM opportunity in the internet.

One huge mistake I did when a first started venturing in the web was that I just focus in networking my opportunity instead of marketing it. I joined every social networks, every forums that I could find to just show my opportunity thinking:

"if I show them that this is best next thing in the block the will join"

Right!! Not even close. After getting a couple of nasty emails and some advise from people that felt sorry for me I rapidly found out that this was not the way to make money with my opportunity online.

The only way you are going to make money in your opportunity is by understanding the concept of Internet Marketing. This form of marketing is a real and strong concept of its own. You must learn how it works first, before you go out there and make a fool of your self like I did. Remember that you are the expert, the one representing, the credible entity of your MLM opportunity, not your mentor or the guy that does the 3 way calls with you. The pressure is on you. You must learn this if you want to be a
credible entity in offline and online

Internet Marketing is the foundation of your internet MLM success. For you to make money in your opportunity you most get familiar with the terms, "lingo", technical stuff, etc. The great thing about learning all this is that you do not have to spend years studying about internet marketing to get started and apply it in your MLM opportunity.

During your search you will find many tools, start with the once that attract you the most and find witch ones fit better with your business opportunity. You will make mistakes figuring out what works better but that will help you grow and to cut the learning curve of your feature partners in your MLM opportunity

Did this Ever Happen to You?...

This what happend when you get started and your mentor will never tell you. You get super excited because you join a business, you feel very strong about it t, you call your mentor and tell him or her that you're ready to start.

You ask . . . "What do I do first?"

What I am sure you are going to hear out form your mentor. . .

"Go ahead and make a list of all your friends, family,co-workers
of at least 100 names and call them. If you do not know what to
say you can use this "proven" prewritten scrip."

And you say: ''But I already done that (if you have) and it did not
worked for me, Is there another or better way?''.

And your Mentor will say: " Well. something you could do is go and buy leads instead"
"You can go to B.S.Leads.com and buy one of their packages"

50 Leads for $100
200 Leads for $300
500 Leads for $500

''Pick the one that works the best for you."

You go ahead and do it with your burning desire to succeed. And You you start thinking,

"If I buy more leads I the quicker I'll see success and the faster I'll reach my dream of living the lifestyle that i want with this great system call network marketing".

You get the BIG lead package. When you tell your mentor you've gone with the big pack he or she throws up no objections. (Probably because they are getting a commission on it.)

Your mentor gives you the"proven" script that can convert around 3% to 4% You do the math in your head and you say "this is gonna be easy'. (You've already made a huge mistake)

You've get your leads and can see the $$$ in your mind going in your bank account.

You pick up the phone and make a plan of calling no less of 25 people a day.

The first day you do your 25 calls and you get 9 disconnects. 13 people who did not pick up the phone. 2 that answer and don't remember requesting information, but you do get one
that seems to be interested. Your Happy you feel Successfull!

The Next day get stuck with this person for 30 minutes thet have nothing to. You send them to your company's site and decide to do a follow up call tomorrow at the same time.

On day three, you start early motiveted by your initial success. By this time you actually get two people on the line that remember asking for info, but this time you get 5 that answer and asult you for messing with their family time with your sleazy calls.

It hurts a little, but you say to yourself you gotta take a few knocks to get anywhere and keep pushing through. You make your follow up call and your first follow appointment is a no show.

Not good.

You say to yourself that's ok, I got two more tomorrow.

Fast forward 30 plus days and you've burn yourself through your leads, got your script memorized down and have a few more promising prospects to follow up that hove not yet decided.

You realize that this is a little harder than you thought.

You buy more leads and do it all over again with the same outcome.

Then . . .You buy more leads and do it all over again with the same results.

You ask your mentor what your doing wrong, he or she do a couple of 3 way calls with you and says you're doing all the right this things just take time, be persistant. Your mentor's "pep talk" get you back in motivation and you buy more of leads, but this time you ask yourself a
question . . .

"Do the people that I be sponsoring be willing to do this?
Will they also be willing to spend or even be able to spend all this money
plus company product cost to get things moving?"

Your mind sends you the answer . . . "No!"

You start to get doudtfull of how all this duplication stuff works, but you
keep going. A few months later you're $5000 in the whole and you are DONE!.
Why didn't it work? Here's what you didn't know . . .

It does work, but just not for you as the newbie. On a large scale for your upline leaders there business does grow following this model.

Why?

Because they have 100's like you and me out there calling thousands of people at our own expense just to see what sticks and inevitable because of the law of large numbers a few do stick.

But the probability of having anything stick for you personally is slim to none. When you sponsor has you calling thousands of leads it creates big time leverage for them at your expense.

That's not a game I like to play and why I don't play it that way. It's a big reason why the folks at the top keeping making money and folks at the bottom keep losing it.

Here's a stat to leave you with . . .

They did a survey of all of the largest network marketing companies in business. A full 45% of total commissions on average go to less than 1% of all reps within the company,in other way the guys on top.

So how do you make sure your business has a chance?

Start with not buying leads.

How to Start Your MLM Business Online

We are living in SUPER FAST times today and everybody are looking for ways to do more in the most efficient way in the less amount of time possible and I think that is a major hurdle with starting network marketing Traditional methods.

You might be trying to call or chase your "warm market" prospect in your lunch brake or tying to make time to call the leads that you purchase to get hang up and scream at 90% of the time or trying to squeeze a free day to make an "in home" presentation and even your prospects are trying to squeeze the time to make it to your presentation.

The Internet is what I consider the best way on how to start your business. You can setup a schedule and work it everyday at the same time and you can expose as much people as possible the same way big retailers do, but for the fraction or no cost at all. But the first thing you need to know is to understand the concept of marketing and that is what I think most of us have failed to understand on how to grow your MLM business.

What is marketing?

I am going to give you my personal version:

To promote to a particular audience the solution to a particular situation.

You might be asking "how do I start my business online?" Very simple, you are going to need something what I call "How to start an MLM business kit".

1.Create a Lead Capture page. This is a website where your prospect can go and leave their info so you can follow up.

2.Create a blog. A blog is like a journal where you put info about yourself, your philosophies and your progress with the business. This builds credibility with your prospects.

3.Set up an auto responder. This is a system that will send all your prewritten emails to all your prospects.

4.Format your email. Talk about the thing that your prospect is interested about like money, time and freedom, NOT your product.

After your "How to start your MLM Business Kit" is done, go and join forums. It is a great way to promote your business and you will learn more tricks on how to start your business from others. Start growing your business, gain experience and teach others what you learn.

When I started in Network Marketing I had the perception that my mentor was the greatest. She was a great person and what she taught me was what I thought was the "strategy" to my MLM success. I was super wrong!

The strategy that she showed me was to make list of friends and family and invite them to home & hotel meetings. I approached my "warm market" and recruited 6 in total (after practically chase them to death for a few weeks).

The next strategy I did was some home meetings I recruited locally.I did see some success with that but that really was not the way I wanted to build my business. Was taking me way to much time and gas (and gas was not as expensive at that time)

Then I asked my mentor and others in the business if there was a strategy that I could use online?

That's when they introduced me to what I thought was the "online strategy" going online and buying leads from lead companies & make cold calls and send them to the companies website. I did terrible and I started thinking "how can I teach this to others?" I could not see the so called duplication online strategy.

Then I put my business building on HOLD and started researching for other strategy online to develop my business. During my research I found out that the traditional methods are not easy for most people that join network marketing to duplicate.

I learned the most important ''strategy" to have success in network marketing. That Marketing is most critical when it comes to building business online. Their is no need to chase prospects down to recruit them.

Why do that when you can have your prospects chase YOU down instead?

My point is just because what your mentor may teach you works for them, it doesn't mean it will work for you. Your mentor is a guide and that's all. Most people get way to attached to their mentors and this causes most people in our industry to fail.

It took me a lot of will power to separate myself from my mentor to find strategies online that really works when it comes to building a successful MLM business. This is what you must do if you want to see success. Find the "online strategy" and you will have success

Today were going to talk about mentors that teach the people they recruit on how to build a successfull network marketing business.When I first got started in this industry I thought my mentor was the greatest, I was super wrong.

It took me to be a leader and separate myself from my upline to find what really works when it comes to build a successful network marketing business. Why Do Most Network Marketers Fail?

Network marketing is Simple, but doing the old way (i.e.cold calling people) is NOT easy. Don't kid yourself! Let me explain my view of why network marketing is notoriousfor having a 95% or higher failure rate..

Have you ever heard of Occam's razor?

It states that the simplest explanation for a phenomenon isusually the best. We'll use this theory to explain why morethan 95% or more network marketers fail.

Ready?

Most network marketers fail because the marketing methods that they are taught don't work 95% or more of the time. So we're led to ask the next logical question, what are most fledgling network marketers taught?

Well, I can only speak from my experience, but what I was taught was to buy and cold call leads. Now, I'm not going to say this doesn't work, but I will say is that after six months of cold calling leads for 3 hours a day with very little success this tactic doesn't work for me.

Honestly, unless you're natural born confident sales leadergoing into your network marketing career you'll probably have these same results. Don't get me wrong some people are very good at cold calling leads, but most people aren't. What happens to most people after they've spend thousands ofdollars on leads with very little success after months ofeffort? They run out of money.

They get burned out and then . . . They give up.

Another important factor contributing to why most networkmarketers fail is the type of leads they buy.Why does the type of leads network marketers use make adifference?

Well . . .Business opportunity leads, the leads most new network marketers are told to use, are generic. These leads answeran ad that just asks them if they want to be financiallyfree or make money from home or something like that.

Well . . . of course they do!

But that doesn't mean they want anything to do with YOUR network marketing program. When the average network marketer calls these generic business opportunity leads the leads don't know anything about the network marketer's business and for the most parthonestly don't care.

This leads to the fledgling network marketer hearing a lot of "NOs". Hearing NO all the time leads to quite a bit of self doubt, both about the network marketer's own ability and thevalidity of their association with their network marketing company.

Negative feelings begin to harbor and as I said before eventually the network marketer gives up, usually within 3-6 months. The fledgling network marketer's perception of their business goes from one of opportunity to one of completedoubt and negativity.

Reality follows perception, so because the fledgling network marketer believes both themselves and their business ashaving little hope this becomes TRUE.

That's basically why 95% of network marketers fail if you asked me.

I am Charles Casiano , and in case this is the first time you've ever met me...
