Is your Mentor the "REAL DEAL"

Today were going to talk about mentors that teach the people they recruit on how to build a successfull network marketing business.When I first got started in this industry I thought my mentor was the greatest, I was super wrong.

She was a great person and what she taught was what I thought was the "strategy" to network marketing success. One of the strategies that she showed me was to make list of all my the friends and family and invite them to home & hotel meetings.

I approached my "warm market" and recruited 6 in total.(after practicly chase them to death for a few weeks) I wasn't surprised since I knew how skeptical every one was.The next strategy I did was some home meetings. I did see some success with that but that really was not the way I wanted to build my business.

Was taking me way to much time and gas (and gas was not as expencive at that time)
Then I asked my mentor and others in the businesswhat else is their? Thats when they introduced me to buying leadsfrom lead companies & make cold calls. I did terrible and I started thinking "how can I teach the toothers?" I could not see they so called duplication.


Then I stopped building my business and started researching otherways to build my business. During my research I found out thatthe traditional methods are not easy for most people that joinnetwork marketing to duplicate. I learned the most important lesson that took my business to success and that was marketing.

Marketing is inportant when it comes to building your business. Their is no need to chase your prospects to recruit them. Why do that when you can have your prospects chase you down instead?

My point is just because what your mentor may teach you works for them, it doesn't mean it will work for you.

Your mentor is a guide and thats all. Most people get way to attachedto their mentors and this causes most people in our industry to fail. It took me to be a leader and separate myself from my upline to find what really works when it comes to build a successful network marketing business. This is what you must do if you want to see success.
